Hundreds of scientific articles have been published in medical literature stating that facial hair removal by electrolysis is permanent, but – There’s also scientific evidence that regrowth does occur when a new root cell is formed in the same area.

The latest method women are using is laser hair removal. This process involves a focused beam of laser light being absorbed by the melanin, pigment, in dark hair, to damage or disable the follicle and at least slow down the growth of the hair.

There are reports of laser hair removal treatments eliminating thirty to forty percent of hair for as long as a year – But, at least here in the United States, it’s illegal to claim the treatment is permanent.

Tweezing is probably the method most common among women. And while it’s okay to use tweezers for eyebrows, it really isn’t okay for other female facial hair. It’s painful, time consuming, (usually needing to be done on a daily basis), and over time, tweezing can damage the skin.
